Cancellation and Refund Policy – Sumitra Enterprises
This policy outlines the terms regarding cancellation and refunds for orders placed on www.sumitraenterprises.in. It works in conjunction with our general Terms and Conditions of Use and is applicable to all transactions made through our website.
- Order Cancellation by the Company: We reserve the right to cancel any order at our sole discretion due to various reasons such as pricing errors, website inaccuracies, fraudulent transactions, technical glitches, or issues with the delivery location. In such cases, if the payment has already been made, it will be refunded to the original payment method used. No interest or additional compensation will be provided.
- Post-Shipping Cancellations: Even after an order has been shipped, we may cancel it if critical issues are discovered—such as wrong pricing, inventory discrepancies, delivery complications, employee error, vendor issues, or force majeure events. In such situations, a full refund will be processed, but it may take up to 30 business days depending on the payment gateway’s timeline.
- No Liability for Cancellation: In case of cancellation by us, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid and that has been received in our bank account. We are not responsible for any indirect losses or consequences that may result from such cancellations. For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, no refund will be issued as no payment was received in our bank account.
- Non-Confirmation of Orders: The order confirmation email received after placing an order is not an invoice or confirmation of acceptance. It merely represents a request placed by the customer. The final confirmation is done only after manual verification by our team based on product availability, delivery feasibility, and order accuracy.
- Incorrect Pricing and Information: If a product is listed with incorrect details or pricing due to any technical issue, we may cancel the order even after initial confirmation. If the product has not been delivered yet, the order will be cancelled, and the paid amount will be refunded. Orders placed on incorrect pricing will not be honoured unless confirmed manually.
- Price and Availability Subject to Change: All product prices and availability are subject to change without prior notice. We reserve the right to revise, discontinue, or update products and services at any time. If a product becomes unavailable or delayed beyond the promised time, the order will be cancelled, and the customer will be notified.
- Customer-Initiated Cancellations:
(a) Prepaid Orders: Customers may cancel prepaid orders before shipping to receive a 100% refund.
(b) After Shipping (but before “Out for Delivery”): If a customer cancels an order after it has been shipped, a refund will be issued after deducting courier charges.
(c) After “Out for Delivery” Status: Once the order is marked “out for delivery”, no refund will be issued. However, in special cases, customers may choose an alternative product of the same value, and the company will ship it after deducting courier charges.

- No Refund for Refused COD Orders: If a COD order is refused by the customer at the time of delivery, no refund will be issued. Additionally, repeated refusal of COD orders may result in future orders being blocked or automatically canceled.
- Refund Timeline and Method: All refunds will be processed to the original method of payment used. The refund timeline depends on the payment gateway and can take up to 30 business days. Refunds cannot be transferred to another payment mode unless approved by us.
- Non-Refundable Gateway Charges: Any payment gateway charges incurred during the transaction or cancellation process are non-refundable. These charges are paid directly to the payment gateway service and not to Sumitra Enterprises.
